Shown are examples or various paintings that I have done for either my own or friends homes.

 

The yellow and pink "Home Sweet Home" work consists of three 40x30 canvases painted with latex. The painting consists of a figure ground streetscape of the street I lived on painted in grey on a yellow background. The pink stripes were created with a bar code generator depicting "home sweet home."

 

The "Monkey" was a commission for a friend based on the iconic photo of a thinking chimpanzee. Using some computer assistance, I color blocked the various shades in the photograph. This design was then transfered to the four canvases using acrylic paints. Wrapping the image around the edges of the canvas was key as it is normally seen from an angle in it's permanant setting.

 

The "Flowers" concept was developed to work with a specific color scheme in a living room and reference the nature just beyond in a minimalist way. This work is acrylic paint on six wrapped canvases.

 

The "Field" is water color on paper.
